Slow start dooms Jackets in Rivalry Game

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Men's Lacrosse Team hosted their rival Georgia Bulldogs in a game to decide SELC North playoff seeding.  The winner would earn the #2 seed while the loser would be #3 seed.  The Jackets entered the game having won three straight games after a tough start to the season.

Freshman David Hull got the scoring started on an isolation dodge in early offense to give the Jackets a 1-0 lead.   Unfortunately that was Tech's only lead of the day.  The Bulldogs reeled off seven straight goals to lead 7-1 after the first quarter.

The Jackets steadied themselves after the first quarter and played the Bulldogs even in the second quarter to go into the third quarter trailing 11-5.

The Jackets won both the third and fourth quarters 3-2, but it was not enough as the hole was just too deep and the Jackets lost 15-11.

With the loss the Jackets finish third in the SELC North and will travel to Florida State for a quarterfinal game next weekend
