Jackets Fall Short Against Dukes

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket men's lacrosse team faced the James Madison Dukes on Saturday in Raleigh, NC.  The Jackets built a 3-0 lead early before the Dukes erased the lead in the second quarter.
 
The teams traded goals late in the first half to bring the halftime score to 4-4.  James Madison scored two goals within 45 seconds to take a 6-4 lead early in the third quarter.  The Jackets and Dukes traded goals through the rest of the quarter with the Dukes leading 8-6 after three quarters.
 
After several scoreless minutes, the Jackets scored to get within 8-7.  The Dukes scored once again to go head 9-7 before Matt Seifert scored to bring the Jackets within one, but the Dukes added an empty net goal as the Jackets tried to regain possession late.
 
The Jackets fall to 1-4 on the season and will host Florida in their next game.
