Jackets Start Fast Lose Footing Against Tigers

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets opened their home slate against the Auburn Tigers Friday night on the newly re-turfed Roe Stamps Field.  The Jackets started fast scoring on their first possession.  In the first five minutes the Jackets played with intensity and urgency building a 3-0 lead.

Unfortunately the game took a turn as the Jackets began to play a sloppy brand of lacrosse and the Tigers were all too happy to take advantage of it.  The Tigers also cranked up the intensity on their side and the Jackets simply could not handle the pressure falling behind 8-3 at halftime before eventually falling 10-5.

The loss moves the Jackets to 0-2 on the season, but the Jackets cannot let the loss linger as they host the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday in their first region game of the season.
