Georgia Tech completed a weekend sweep with two come from behind victories. On Friday the Jackets took on an always tough Florida State squad. After getting out to a 3-0 lead early, Tech let Florida State get out in front 5-3 in the first half. From that point Tech's defense clamped down on the Seminoles. The Jackets closed the game on a 9-1 run to win 14-6. Tech's defense was rock solid during the run with well timed slides and excellent physical approaches on FSU's shooters. Tech's offense struck quickly off of transition and in early offense. Tech's starting attack of Conrad McEvoy, Tim Peterson, and Matt Krecicki combined for 15 points in the game. Devin Raun added two goals from the midfield.
